Spring is already here, and the ASHRAE year is almost over, with only two regular meetings left. April is going to be a very busy month, however.

First, we are electing our officers for next year. I hope everyone will make sure they try and attend, as this is a very important time for our chapter. The nominating committee has put together a great slate, and I am excited about the members of the supporting committees that Kim has put together.

Also, this month our Sustainability Committee has put together a nice tour of the ADEQ facility. I think they have done a great job of coming up with a solid set of programs on sustainable buildings. I am looking forward to see what they come up with in the future.

Be sure to look for the satellite seminar this month for your continuing education for the year. Also, the Shreveport chapter has put together an incredible line up of speakers for the CRC this year. It is a great opportunity to not only pick up some continuing education, but to hear some experts in the field of "net zero" buildings. Although the deadline is past for discount rooms, it is not too late to sign up. We already have a great group from our chapter going, and I hope to see some more of you come along. It will be a great time.

I also want to get everyone thinking about next months meeting. It will be Past President's Night, where we honor those men and women who have served our chapter so well in the past. Last year we had the event at the new ball park to see the Travelers play, and had a great turn out with lots of families. This year we are building on that success, so plan on bringing your families now. We also planned an evening when the Travelers play the Naturals, so you guys from Northwest Arkansas come down and join us. And last, but not least. Don't forget to help Tony out by getting your teams registered early for the Spring Golf Tournament. He has a planed a great tournament as always
